General Requirements For Turkey CBI

To qualify for Türkiye Citizenship by Investment, the principal applicant must generally:

  • Complete a qualifying investment in accordance with Turkish citizenship regulations.

Investment Options

The Türkiye Citizenship by Investment Programme offers several government-approved investment options, allowing eligible applicants to choose the route that best aligns with their financial objectives and personal circumstances.

Each qualifying investment must comply with the applicable provisions of the Turkish Citizenship Law No. 5901 and its implementing regulations. Depending on the selected investment route, the qualifying investment must generally be maintained for a minimum commitment period of three years in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.

1. Real Estate Investment

Applicants may qualify by purchasing one or more residential, commercial, or land properties with a minimum total value of USD 400,000.
Key requirements include:

  • Minimum investment of USD 400,000.
  • One or more qualifying properties may be combined to satisfy the investment threshold.
  • The property must not have been previously used for another citizenship by investment application.
  • The title deed must include a restriction preventing the sale or transfer of the property for three years.
  • The property must be supported by an official valuation report and satisfy the applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Payment must be completed through the Turkish banking system.
  • The investment must be certified by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change.

2. Bank Deposit

Applicants may qualify by depositing a minimum of USD 500,000, or the equivalent in foreign currency or Turkish Lira, with a bank operating in Türkiye.

Key requirements include:

  • Minimum deposit of USD 500,000.
  • Funds must remain on deposit for three years.
  • The investment must be certified by the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA).

3. Fixed Capital Investment

Applicants may make a qualifying fixed capital investment of at least USD 500,000.

Key requirements include:

  • Minimum investment of USD 500,000.
  • he investment must be maintained for three years.
  • The investment must be certified by the Ministry of Industry and Technology.

4. Government Bonds

Applicants may purchase Turkish Government debt instruments with a minimum value of USD 500,000.

Key requirements include:

  • Minimum investment of USD 500,000.
  • The investment must be retained for three years.
  • The investment must be certified by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance.

5. Real Estate Investment Fund or Venture Capital Investment Fund

Applicants may invest a minimum of USD 500,000 in qualifying Real Estate Investment Fund (REIF) shares or Venture Capital Investment Fund (VCIF) shares.

Key requirements include:

  • Minimum investment of USD 500,000.
  • Fund shares must be retained for three years.
  • The investment must be certified by the Capital Markets Board of Türkiye (CMB).

6. Private Pension System

Applicants may contribute a minimum of USD 500,000 to an approved private pension system.

  • Minimum contribution of USD 500,000.
  • The contribution must remain in the system for three years.
  • The investment must satisfy the applicable regulatory requirements.

7. Job Creation

Applicants may qualify by creating employment for at least 50 Turkish citizens.

  • Creation of at least 50 full-time jobs.
  • The employment level must be maintained for the applicable commitment period.
  • The investment must be certified by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.
